  1. I noticed most of the content on your site is a few years old. Are you still active ? can I still get your e-book

  2. Love this concept. I have a problem when I’m eating I zone out and when I get full I feel guilty like I’m overeating.
Just a mind game I’m sure. Hard to judge my portions I guess. Not giving up tho. thanks so much for the HMH.
Habit is a good word instead of diet!!!! Fran

    • Hi Fran,

It’s funny you mentioned this. I was eating out of a bag of Sun Chips, and before I knew it THREE FOURTHS of the bag was GONE!!! I abandoned my tip about pulling a serving out and closing out the bag–and it got me.

Hang in there and continue to stay in the “habit!” PS, I’m writing HMH Phase II right now…coming soon!!!

  3. Jim, I purchased your book on Amazon from your site and I read it in one night. Outstanding! I have started the Halfmealhabit and it is working very well. My only regret is that I did not get the other videos you promised. Is there some way I can get them. Manuel from Puertp Rico

    • Hi Manuel,

I just emailed you the links! Thank you for your kind words!!! I can’t wait to hear how the plan works for you. Take care!

  4. Hi Jim, Iwas looking forward to reading your book today. I received the email with a link to download the book yesterday on my IPAD and I thought I had downloaded it but when I went in to read it today, I was told I had exceeded my limit. Can you help?

  5. Hi Jim, I just posted in the love section about how I LOVE your eBook and the Half Meal Habit so far. Ha! I only started it yesterday but hey, a day is a day is a day. My question is How do we handle plateaus? You don’t mention this in the book. I would assume at some point I would hit a plateau–I always do on other plans. Did you hit a plateau? If so, how did you handle it? After I get used to eating half portions, lose weight, and plateau, should I cut my half meal in half again? I would appreciate any feedback. Thank you so much.

    • Hi Pam,

Thank you so much for your kind words in the LOVE section! To your question about plateaus…You mentioned how this happened on other diet plans. This is due to your body REJECTING the way you’re eating. On the Half Meal Habit, you’re eating a wide enough variety of foods, you shouldn’t hit a plateau until you’re at the proper weight.

To be honest, I never really hit a plateau. I attribute this to getting my weight down to the level my body wanted. I highly recommend you DO NOT reduce calories further than the half meals you’re currently having. Actually, I recommend the opposite. Have a splurge meal or a splurge day. But only do so if you can handle getting right back into the habit ASAP, that is! I had a splurge day yesterday with a giant plate of beef stroganoff. Today, I had a pulled pork sandwich (half) for lunch, and the other half for my snack 2! I’m right back into it.

Your body is getting used to frequent small meals, so a splurge day won’t be anything like your past splurge days. It will be more like a normal eaters day, so it will be a lot less damaging.

Now, if you feel like you’ve hit a plateau, which I would define as 30 days on the habit without losing any weight, double check your other rules. Are you drinking enough water? Are you getting those HIIT workouts or some other resistance training/cardio in? Push on, then reassess again in 30 days. Remember, we are changing our lifestyle for the long haul. We’re not losing weight in 30 days or less.

Again, thank you and drop by frequently with questions or comments, but especially your successes! ♥ Jim

  6. I just got my copy of the Half Meal Habit and W-O-W! It’s GENIUS in it’s simplicity! I LOVE this plan and even though it so simplistic and easy, there’s no way I would have figured this out on my own. I can’t wait to see how much weight I lose! I will check back in with you in a few months. I’m starting this diet in about an hour–I can’t wait!!! Mwah! I love you for this!!!
LOVE, LOVE, LOVE, Jessica (< ,>,h)!

    • Thanks Jessica! Hey…you’re not Jessica Simpson, are you? Seriously though, PLEASE let me know how the diet plan works for you. Any suggestions, changes, recommendations, and tweaks are VERY MUCH welcome! It’s all a learning experience for me, too! If you’re keeping journal or writing an online blog, let me know!

      Love, love, love back atcha!

Jim (ps: LOVE your signature after your name! Classic!)
