I was so skeptical when getting this Kindle book.  When it came and I saw that it was under 60 pages, I felt even WORSE!  I really thought, “there’s no way a diet and exercise plan can be explained in such a short book!”  BUT–after reading it, everything made sense.  You completely and simply explained why diets don’t work for me and I was just saying, “YES!  That’s IT!”  The diet part is perfect, so is the hydration part.  I would have loved more detail on how you do the HIIT workouts, but I know that’s hard to do in a book.  Besides, I’ve been finding some great workouts online (love you Youtube!).  So thank you for being so brief in your book and I can’t wait to get started.

Hi Caitlynn!  My first version was about 100 pages, but I like to edit, edit, edit!  Less is more.  I’m so glad it all “made sense” and opened your eyes to what is really going on when it comes to those crazy diet and workout plans AND when it comes to how to eat.  Good luck and keep following the plan.  It really really works!!!

I started the half meal habit yesterday, and it went extremely well. I finished the book this morning and all I can say is FANTABULOUS!!! Such a simple concept. What a way to learn so-called moderation. I have almost every diet book possible; mags with the diet-of-the-month in them, etc. I’ve tried to eat only until you are satisfied; low carb; low fat; and all left me wanting more and lead to bingeing. I’ve tried so many I’ve lost track and I’ve lost hope. Talk about burnout … I’m burned out from diets, complicated formulas and menus; counting calories or counting points.

I’m 60 and need to lose my last 30lbs. I’m beginning to have health issues and mostly caused from being overweight. At least I’m not obese anymore. LOL! I lost 24lbs. last year with a meal replacement plan and it cost me mucho bucks and I was hungry ALL the time, even tho their commercials say otherwise. ha! I just couldn’t do that plan again. Then I saw you on YouTube, and my hope was renewed.

Your eBook also gives me hope again.

Its so affordable and I praise you for that so it is accessible to everyone, esp. those of us on fixed incomes. The book is filled with wit, humor, and simple but great ideas on how to “work the plan” or habit I should say. In fact, some of us have skipped meals and overeaten later in the day for a long time in the hopes of losing weight–can anyone say INSANITY???; so the half meal habit of eating at regular intervals in the manner you set out is brilliant and actually made me less hungry than usual because I ate so often. My energy was improved because my blood sugar was more stable. I did not desire my usual sugary treats that I’ve been having lately. This plan actually helps with my emotional overeating and gives me just enough discipline to make it to my next meal, because I only have to wait approx. 2.5 to 3 hrs. and I can eat again. I can hang on that long and not munch in between which is terrific.

So, thank you, thank you, THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart. I look forward to losing these pounds and I will be checking in with you regularly!! You’re so great and inspiring. MUCH LOVE to you Jim, God bless you, Pam

(Eyes tearing up a little…)Wow, I am so humbled by your words, I don’t know what to say, except thank you.  You seem to be someone that will benefit GREATLY from the Half Meal Habit, since you are jumping in head first.  I can not wait to hear more about all of your success.

Yes, it’s affordable at $17.00 and I’m barely making enough to cover website costs, but that’s not why I’m doing this.  After reading all that you wrote, my heart tells my that YOU and others like you are the reason why I’m doing this!  Thank you again for your honesty, your determination, your faith, and for those gratuitous words of kindness. ♥

I just finished up your book and loved it. It was so simple to read, not boring at all (even the math parts) and seems to be what my doctor has been telling me for about 3 years now. He has always told me not to cut out what I love – just downsize it.  I am going to start this Half Meal Habit next week and I will let you know how my progress is going!

  1. HEY, this is exactly how I have been eating…

I have NEVER been overweight. Always within normal weight range. WITHOUT counting calories.

The Highest I’ve ever been was 50kg on a 159cm frame. so around a BMI of 20. At that time I was conflicted, I wanted to loose weight but had no experience in doing so. So i learned calorie counting. in SHORT-> calorie counting sucks, doesn’t work.

So now I am 45 kg sometimes 44, I know it may seem low but all my life I have usually been BMI 17-18.5 so yeah 50kg was HORROR. But then something made me lose weight, no counting.

I went on a vacation, during vacation I went shopping. Shopping made me like clothes. I started to become more conscious. I visited a city which was famous for its fashionable people, guess which? ;p
THEY WERE ALL THIN. So I observed and I asked my friends who live there. Its simple, you gotta get in touch with ur body if u don’t want to be that weight.

OOOHHH, basically eat less than what u eat.

HOW? WITHOUT the CALORIE COUNTING, the flippin CALORIE COUNTING.

Easy… she said when you feel pudgy eat half and observe your hunger.

On FRIDAYS eat vegetarian, it will help you be more conscious of what your body needs.

I started doing just that and running and easy jog walk, whatever I feel like, whenever I feel like.

WHEN I FEEL pudgy, which is rare now. I eat half and walk away from the dining table.

    GOOD LUCK EVERYONE!!
    Sorry lengthy post.:):D

    • Wow, nice information! I’m so glad you’re in touch with your body. I certainly am NOT, lol! Continually eating half meals keeps from getting back in the habit of overeating, which is why I think a lot of people love this eating plan. Congratulations on your success! And if you ever have any other tips, please don’t hesitate to share here!

  3. It is a simple process. I think it would be easy to follow. I am doing it now and have lost about 5lbs.

  4. I love the book!! I have been trying to eat every 3 hours but it is a hassle. Your plan makes it doable. I have also been doing the body rock workouts. They are awesome!! Thank you for the easy to follow plan.I am going to try to stick with it. I may have to have a half a glass of wine! Wish me luck! Thanks again!!

    • Hi Cara,
Yes, it is sometimes hard to keep on that schedule, but DON’T stress yourself out about it. If you end up eating 4 hours later, it’s fine. Do your best to grab that bite to eat and you will do just fine. BTW, have a WHOLE glass of wine, lol!

    • Good for you Carla! Always the best.
