There are a billion diet books on the market all begging for your hard earned dollar. Sure, I will admit that if you follow their advice, many of these diets will give you fast and quick results with your weight loss. The problem is these diets are all bad for you. They are fads. Any diet that has you eating in some bizarre way or has you only dining on certain foods or restricts you from cheese and pasta is a BAD DIET! Here are a few reasons why this is true.
They are loaded with junk science: Yes, I borrowed a term from the political arena, but it fits here. So many diets have scientific claims that back up their diet plan, stating it’s the best thing to come along since the space shuttle–and that the diet really, really works! Now, I’m not denying that the diet will work. I’m telling you that the diet will not last!
I’m not picking on any diet in particular, but when you have a diet plan that says they follow quick healthy weight loss tips based on science, they are really saying, “Following this diet will help you lose weight, but since you’re eating like a freak of nature, there’s no way you’re going to be able to stick to it!” This is why the junk science with these supposedly healthy diets are bad, if not downright dangerous. Yo-yoing your body weight is not good for you, especially when you put your body through something like the Atkins diet.
They are impossible to sustain: These diets that have you eating all kinds of weird things like tons of grapefruit, a bunch of popcorn, MEAT ONLY, acai berries and tofu paste, protein waters and celery, etc. all have a giant flaw. They are asking you to eat like an alien. One diet that touts they have healthy weight loss tips for women says the ladies should avoid eating any sugar whatsoever. Really? Seriously, nobody eats the way these diets are set up! How in the world are you supposed to drink an acai berry smoothie for dinner, then feed your family mac and cheese and chicken? You’re going to drink your shake and then stew over not being able to enjoy real food. Then you’ll give in to temptation and eat the real food anyway.
You can’t continue on like this. You need to be on a sensible diet full of good healthy weight loss tips with normal food that everyone eats.
Eating bad food isn’t bad for you
One of the best tips for healthy weight loss I can give you is that eating bad food isn’t bad for you. This, of course, comes with a caveat. Eating bad food isn’t bad for you if you don’t do it every day. A cheeseburger once a week or two slices of pizza on the weekend is actually a good thing. That’s good news for us men! It keeps you satisfied with your menu and makes that next meal of grilled chicken and veggies more tolerable. Still, there is an even better way to diet and lose weight without having to resort to eating cardboard, drinking water only, and licking a stone for satisfaction. It’s called the Half Meal Habit.
